A paint booth, also known as a spray booth, is a purpose-built enclosure for spray painting. It contains and removes overspray and vapours produced during paint application.

Paint booths for industrial applications

Anti-corrosion coatings are applied to metal surfaces by spraying. Paint booths are generally designed for safe operation with resistance to fire and explosion. They are often used when surface preparation or coating application outdoors or in an open indoor area is impractical. Reasons may include adverse weather or atmospheric conditions, environmental hazards associated with the coating, operator preferences, temperature control and vapour containment.
